This is a reminder that if you are an F-1 or J-1 student who has not completed your program, you need to be enrolled full-time by the course registration deadline, JANUARY 21 by 4:00 pm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Q: How many credits do I need?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A: Minimum enrollment: 12 credits undergraduate; 8 credits graduate student; 6 credits graduate assistants<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Q: Can I enroll in online classes?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A: Yes, but if you are a J-1 student, online course credits do not count toward the minimum enrollment requirement. If you are an F-1 student, only 3 online credits count toward the minimum enrollment requirement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Q: What if I need to take less than full-time course load?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A: You may submit a Reduced Course Load (RCL)<\/a> request to the ISS Office, and it must be approved. You must have a qualified reason listed on the form. Please submit before the registration deadline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Q: What if I do not enroll full-time by the registration deadline and don’t get an RCL?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A: You will be considered in violation of your visa status.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
