This same type of travel ban is already in effect for Brazil, China, Iran, Ireland, countries in the European Schengen Area, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Foreign nationals who have been physically present in India within 14 days of their\u00a0 travel to the U.S will be barred from entry, unless they qualify for an exception.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department of State&#8217;s April 26, 2021 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en\/News\/visas-news\/national-interest-exceptions-for-certain-travelers-from-china-Iran-brazil-south-africa-schengen-area-united-kingdom-and-ireland.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Interest Exception (NIE) policy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that covers<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brazil, China, Iran, Ireland, countries in the European Schengen Area, South Africa and the United Kingdom,<\/span><b> also now included travelers from India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>April 30, 2021, President Biden signed a proclamation effective May 4, 2021, which bars entry of travelers coming from India.
