Testing Environment
The testing environment enables users to test processes, add and delete entries, and practice navigation without the worry of inadvertently updating actual records/accounts. The testing database is refreshed with production (a.k.a. "live") data roughly once a month. Recent changes and new information entered in production Banner (e.g. courses/sections, students, codes) may not yet exist in the testing database.
Production Environment
Caution, this is live data you are working with.
The production database is "live" data. Actions taken here may be immediately visible by students, faculty, and staff.
Banner 9 Production may be accessed by going to and clicking the "to eBanner" card.
Please contact your campus eBanner Security Coordinator (typically the campus Registrar) regarding eBanner permissions.
