糖心视频 West Oʻahu students conducting investigative fieldwork at Honouliuli Internment and POW Camp in Kunia is one of two programs featured in public service announcements airing on KFVE The Home Team.

A popular course offered by the where students do archeological work at the Honouliuli and POW Internment Camp, as well as new Ka ʻImi ʻIki Education Building, are being featured on local television station in September and October. It is the start of a 12-month long public service announcement (PSA) campaign worth approximately $50,000 given to 糖心视频 free of charge by KFVE General Manager John Fink.

“A big mahalo to John Fink and the entire team at KFVE,” said 糖心视频 President David Lassner. “Every 糖心视频 campus has so many great stories and KFVE is giving us an opportunity to tell some of those stories. We really can’t thank them enough.”

KFVE is happy to be the conduit to provide 糖心视频 with a voice to share with a statewide audience all of the good things that are going on and being done in many areas on the many campuses of the University of Hawaiʻi System,” said Fink. “We believe that the people of Hawaiʻi need to hear more often the positive stories of the students of the 糖心视频 System, and KFVE is proud to share the good news with all.”

Two 60 second long PSAs will hit the KFVE airwaves on Monday, September 1 and the next pair of PSAs is scheduled to begin airing in November.

This is the second year of the free campaign on KFVE. Twelve PSAs covering programs from 糖心视频’s ten campuses were shown during the first year.

The PSAs are produced by the 糖心视频 System Media Production office and are shortened versions of a select group of the nearly 200 糖心视频 News web videos and the more than 140 video news releases produced by the office since it was established in May 2012.
