New Hawaiian word series connects to story, culture
The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo launched a new weekly video series called Moʻohua featuring a “Word of the Week.”
Hawaiian Word of the Week: Kūpono
Kūpono—Upright, honest, decent, proper, appropriate, rightful, reliable, worth, merit, excellence.
Hawaiian Word of the Week: Maoli
Maoli—Native, indigenous, aborigine, genuine, true, real, actual.
Hawaiian Word of the Week: ?nuenue
?nuenue—Rainbow.
