Editor’s note, June 25, 2020<\/strong>: Correa Road repaving project was extended an additional week, and the road is now scheduled to be reopened on Monday, July 6. The original scope of the project was expanded to include repaving parking fronting the Art Building and Physical Science Building. Parking off of Correa Road at Krauss Hall, Kennedy Theatre and Health Services will also reopen July 6. All other parking on Correa will reopen on July 16 after the areas are restriped.<\/em><\/p>\n

Correa Road on the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa campus will be closed for two weeks from June 15 to June 29 for a road repaving project. The work was initially scheduled to last about four weeks, but the timeframe was adjusted by the Office of Project Delivery and the contractor to lessen the impact to the campus and its users. The project will be completed well ahead of the start of the fall semester and is another project completed ahead of schedule<\/a> while the campus is closed due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Correa Road starts at East-West Road and runs from Kennedy Theatre and the University Health Services Clinic past Campus Center to Campus Center and the Warrior Recreation Center. Along with the repaving and restriping work, concrete curbs, curb ramps and gutters along the road will be demolished and replaced.<\/p>\n

There will still be access to all of the buildings along Correa Road for building occupants on a limited basis or for emergencies, and everyone is asked to follow all pedestrian and vehicular traffic control measures for their safety. Employees with parking permits for Correa Road are being provided temporary “out of zone” parking on upper campus. Additional guest parking has been temporarily added to the Korean Studies parking lot due to the road closure.<\/p>\n
