A popular summer lecture series will feature an impressive lineup of guest speakers from Hawaiʻi<\/span> and the U.S.<\/abbr> mainland, including former presidential candidates U.S.<\/abbr> Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and U.S.<\/abbr> Rep. Eric Swalwell. The series, sponsored by University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa\u2019s William S. Richardson School of Law<\/a> and Shidler College of Business<\/a>, will be presented virtually on Zoom starting July 14.<\/p>\n

Former securities executive and part-time Hawaiʻi<\/span>-resident Will K. Weinstein<\/strong>\u2019s ethics conversation series features panelists representing several areas including law, business, medicine, technology, economic inequality and politics.<\/p>\n

The first six sessions are from 6–7:30 p.m. HST<\/abbr> with the August 13 session from 6–8 p.m. HST<\/abbr>, and they are free and open to the public. Register at the Shidler College of Business website<\/a>. A link to the Zoom session will be emailed after participants register. Licensed attorneys are eligible for continuing legal education credits.<\/p>\n

For the past 17 years, Weinstein has opened his ethics class to the general public for a lively and fascinating discussion on current ethical issues and dilemmas facing the world.<\/p>\n
