Since August 1 alone, five researchers at the <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心视频<\/abbr> Cancer Center have received a total of more than $16 million in federal funding to conduct public impact research over the next few years. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The fact that we are seeing this amount of funding from organizations like the National Cancer Institute and the Department of Defense shows how meaningful this research is\u2014not only to the people of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>, but the entire nation,&rdquo; said <abbr>糖心视频<\/abbr> Cancer Center Interim Director <strong>Joe W. But to witness this level of success in receiving so many highly competitive grants in such a short period of time really speaks volumes about the quality of work being done at the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Cancer Center,&rdquo; said Bruno. &ldquo;Not only is the center continuing its work to reduce the burden of cancer here in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> with advanced, applied research, it also continues to have a significant, positive impact on our local economy.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>Since August 1, the
