University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa wahine volleyball<\/a> earned three Big West weekly awards—Player of the Week, Freshman of the Week, Setter of the Week—on September 16 after going 3-0 last week and claiming the OUTRIGGER Invitational title.<\/p>\n

Outside hitter Caylen Alexander earned her first Player of the Week award after posting the nation\u2019s highest kill total this season with 38 in a landmark performance against Texas State on September 14. Middle blocker Miliana Sylvester claimed her first Big West Freshman of the Week after posting 29 kills and 12 blocks over three matches. Senior Kate Lang earned her first Setter of the Week award of the season and 12th of her career.<\/p>\n

Alexander set a new 糖心视频<\/abbr> record with 38 kills, the highest since 2002, becoming the first to exceed 30 kills since 2016 and reach 35 since 2006. For the week, Alexander totaled 75 kills, three aces and nine block assists, with 82.5 points. Alexander leads the Big West in kills per set and points per set.<\/p>\n

Sylvester posted 29 kills and 12 blocks over three matches and joined Alexander on the OUTRIGGER Invitational all-tournament team. Her kill total was second on the team, and she averaged 2.07 kills per set while hitting .333. She opened the week with 10 kills against Texas State and had 11 kills and seven blocks, including a solo stuff, against Oregon State. She capped the weekend with eight kills while hitting .389 in the rematch with Texas State.<\/p>\n

Lang racked up a total of 145 assists, averaging 10.36 per set, and called her own number to put down 12 kills over the week. The senior also had 41 digs (2.93 per set) and posted back-to-back double-doubles on her way to OUTRIGGER Invitational all-tournament honors. Lang posted 39 assists and four kills against Texas State then went for 50-plus assists in the next two matches. She had 50 with 18 digs against Oregon State and capped the week with 56 assists, a season-high five kills and 17 digs against Texas State.<\/p>\n
