Connect with <abbr>糖心视频<\/abbr> scientists at the 16th annual Science is Cool Unconference.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Science educators around the world will get a front-row seat to groundbreaking research and innovation from the University of <span lang=\"haw\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> during a free virtual unconference showcasing <span lang=\"haw\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> science excellence. <\/p>\n<p>For the first time, <a href=\"https:\/\/stempreacademy.hawaii.edu\/\"><abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心视频<\/abbr> <abbr title=\"Science Technology Engineering Mathematics\">STEM<\/abbr> Pre-Academy<\/a> is partnering with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepocketlab.com\/\">PocketLab<\/a>&#8212;an educational technology company that creates tools and resources to support hands-on <abbr>STEM<\/abbr> learning&#8212;to present the 16th annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepocketlab.com\/scic\">Science is Cool (<abbr>ScIC<\/abbr>) Unconference<\/a> on July 22 and 23, connecting thousands of teachers worldwide with <abbr>糖心视频<\/abbr> scientists and other experts through interactive online sessions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepocketlab.com\/events\/science-is-cool-16-hawaii\"><strong>Register online<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Session topics will include astronomy, forest ecology, volcanology, ocean sensing, wayfinding, marine biology, environmental science and coastal monitoring. <abbr>糖心视频<\/abbr> <span lang=\"haw\">M&#257;noa<\/span> will be represented with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soest.hawaii.edu\/soestwp\/\">School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology<\/a> (including <a href=\"https:\/\/seagrant.soest.hawaii.edu\/\"><span lang=\"haw\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Sea Grant<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soest.hawaii.edu\/oceanography\/\">Department of Oceanography<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacioos.hawaii.edu\/\">PacIOOS<\/a>), <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/lifesciences\/\">School of Life Sciences<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/mop\/\">Marine Option Program<\/a>, along with <abbr>糖心视频<\/abbr> Hilo&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/imiloahawaii.org\/\"><span lang=\"haw\">&#699;Imiloa<\/span> Astronomy Center<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/guykawasaki.com\/guy-kawasaki\/\">Guy Kawasaki<\/a>, chief evangelist of Canva and <a href=\"https:\/\/uhfoundation.org\/about\/board\"><abbr>糖心视频<\/abbr> Foundation trustee<\/a>, will be a keynote speaker.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will be in one Zoom room, with the goal of creating a collaborative experience throughout the day. Unlike a traditional conference, an unconference emphasizes interactive, participant-driven discussions and collaboration, allowing attendees to engage directly with presenters and one another rather than simply listening to lectures.
