Melanie Tancinco<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Cha\u00eene des R\u00f4tisseurs, Hawaiʻi<\/span>\/Pacific Islands Region, held the Jeunes Chef R\u00f4tisseurs<\/a> competition at Kapiʻolani<\/span> Community College<\/a> on Saturday, February 21. Kapiʻolani<\/span> CC<\/abbr> Chef Grant Sato<\/strong>, Conseiller Culinaire Provincial, organized this prestigious state-wide competition. Six Jeunes Chef contestants participated in this year’s competition—four contestants were from Maui and two from Oʻahu<\/span>.<\/p>\n

After four hours executing the best skill, talent and creativity in the kitchen, Melanie Tancinco<\/strong> earned the title, Best Young Commis Rotisseur. Tancinco also won the Hawaiʻi<\/span>\/Pacific Islands Regional Title in 2014 and later represented Hawaiʻi<\/span> at the National Jeunes Chefs Competition in Florida.<\/p>\n
