The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa Admissions and Enrollment Management<\/a> office is asking faculty and staff to assist with identifying prospective local students in a new recruitment effort.<\/p>\n

“There are many of us having conversations with our keiki on the next steps following middle and high school. Whether this is a son, daughter, niece, nephew or grandchild, as elders to our younger generations, we hold an invaluable responsibility to prepare our next generation for success,” said Roxie M. Shabazz<\/a><\/strong>, assistant vice chancellor for enrollment management and director of admissions. “While this is an effort to increase our local student enrollment, all referrals are welcome.”<\/p>\n

Faculty and staff are being invited to fill out prospect cards<\/a>, so current middle and high school students and their parents can receive information such as admissions updates, fun facts and tips on the college enrollment process.<\/p>\n

This is the latest in a number of marketing promotions led by Admissions and Enrollment Management. They include organizing newly accepted student receptions locally and in states such as California, Oregon, Washington and Colorado; a campaign of 30-second radio spots that ran more than 1,400 times on 20 local radio stations in April; and a new and exciting interactive website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition, the M\u0101noa Experience<\/a>, the annual University Preview Day, will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018. It will feature interactive hands-on activities, demonstrations and displays that showcase the vast opportunities on campus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
