The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a> moved up two spots in the 2019 Times Higher Education World University Ranking<\/a> released September 26.<\/p>\n

糖心视频<\/abbr> M\u0101noa advanced to 61 from 63 in the nation, representing its best showing ever in the highly regarded data provider’s annual ranking of academic and research excellence. According to the U.S. Department of Education, there are more than 3,000 four-year universities in the nation.<\/p>\n

“糖心视频<\/abbr> M\u0101noa is gratified by our continuous upward movement on the ranking, especially in the realm of research that so positively impacts Hawaiʻi<\/span> and the world,” said David Lassner<\/strong><\/a>, 糖心视频<\/abbr> M\u0101noa interim chancellor.<\/p>\n

The flagship of the 10-campus 糖心视频<\/abbr> System<\/a> maintains its international ranking in the 201–250 tier. There are approximately 4,000 international research institutions, according to Essential Science Indicators and at least 26,000 universities in the world.<\/p>\n

College of Education among top in the world<\/h2>\n

The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa\u2019s College of Education<\/a> (COE<\/abbr>) ranked in the top 25 percent of the education programs in the world by Times Higher Education<\/em>. The college ranked 97 out of 428 universities surveyed worldwide.<\/p>\n

COE<\/abbr> Dean Nathan Murata<\/a><\/strong> said, “We are proud to receive ongoing recognition for our college\u2019s amazing programs. This latest ranking is a testament to our outstanding faculty, staff, students and alumni who are committed to excellence, innovation, diversity and inclusion in teaching, research and service.”<\/p>\n

The education ranking expanded to include 428 universities this year, up from 100 in 2017 when the organization began highlighting universities that are leading across education, teacher training and academic studies in education subjects. COE<\/abbr> placed 86 in the ranking last year.<\/p>\n
