The fire of life burning inside us,&rdquo; as quoted in one of Jon Hamblin\u2019s paintings, describes <em>Taking Flight<\/em> the colorful, dynamic and lively art exhibition at Windward Community College\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/gallery.windward.hawaii.edu\/\">Gallery <span aria-label=\"Iolani\">&#699;Iolani<\/span><\/a> January 25&#8211;February 25.<\/p>\n<p>The new exhibition features the work of popular artists, Jodi Endicott and Jon Hamblin, and introduces the work of newcomer Sarah Hyland.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Endicott\u2019s work is in found materials, sculpture and painting<\/li>\n<li>Hamblin\u2019s paintings illustrate with words and paint the human experience, often combined with a slice of life and humor<\/li>\n<li>Hyland illustrates images of her creative mind in paintings and journal entries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&ldquo;There\u2019s so much to look at in this show!&rdquo; said Gallery <span aria-label=\"Iolani\">&#699;Iolani<\/span> Director <strong>Toni Martin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The opening reception and exhibition on Friday, January 25, 4&#8211;7 p.m. is free and open to the public with free parking available.<\/p>\n<p>Gallery <span
