GitHub Copilot


GitHub Copilot is an AI-powered developer tool integrated directly into modern Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and the GitHub web interface. It provides real-time code completions, natural language chat assistance, code explanations, unit test generation, and pull request summaries. It is distinct service and not related to the Copilot for Windows service with which you may be familiar.

Under 糖心视频's Standard Enterprise Agreement, GitHub Copilot licenses are assigned at the individual user level. While users collaborate within various University GitHub Organizations, their GitHub Copilot access travels with their linked identity across the entire 糖心视频 GitHub Enterprise and may also be used with GitHub organizes that are not in the 糖心视频 GitHub Enterprise.

FAQs

What if I don't use all the credits during a given month?

Your remaining credits at the end of the month will not transfer to the following month.

What if use up all of the credits during a given month?

Your credits will remain at zero until the 1st of the following month.

Can I buy additional credits for the current month?

Yes, you can purchase additional credits by credit card only. You must have a valid 糖心视频 GitHub Copilot site license in order to purchase additional credits.

Can I purchase the GitHub Copilot license if I am a student?

You can participate, however your license must be sponsored and listed under an active 糖心视频 faculty or staff's name. Payment would be made through departmental funds.

Ordering Instructions:

  1. Complete the 糖心视频 GitHub Copilot Order Form (requires )

  2. Payment:
    • 糖心视频 Interdepartmental Order (FSO-30)
    • RC糖心视频 Purchase Order
    • 糖心视频 Foundation Purchase Order
    • Check (personal check, money order, cashier's check)
      • Checks should be made out to: University of Hawaii ITS
        Returned Check Fee: $25.00 fee for each returned check that has been returned from the maker's bank for any reason (e.g., insufficient funds, closed bank account, incorrect bank information).
    • Cash and credit card purchases are not accepted.
    • Do not add tax to your order.
    • Please use the address below for the 糖心视频 IDO, RC糖心视频 or 糖心视频F PO Vendor Address.
  3. Submit the completed 糖心视频 GitHub Copilot Order Form and payment to the 糖心视频 ITS Site License Office either by email, mail or by campus mail.

  4. After ITS receives and processes your payment, the contact person listed on the order form will be sent an email confirmation. Licensed users will be contacted via email regarding their account.
