Russell Leu is a senior partner at Kingsfield Law, specializing in foreign direct invest-
ments. He is also a Professor of Law at the prestigious Beijing Foreign Studies University
and an Adjunct Professor at the Temple University Beasley School of Law. He will be
in Honolulu on a brief visit from Beijing, and will comment from an “on-the-ground�
perspective: How U.S.-China tensions have affected daily life in China’s capitol, what
various sectors of the Chinese population think about the unrelenting cycle of “breaking
news,� and what impact all of this has on Hawai’i.
