Planning Considerations for Extreme Hazards Training

Natural hazards and associated impacts have become more extreme in recent years in both size and scope. The goal of this course is to provide participants with additional strategies, tools, and explore special considerations to aid in planning for extreme natural hazards and impacts. Participants will compare the relationship between natural hazards and local impacts, assess the potential effects of these hazards on critical infrastructure and key resources, and evaluate the process of developing mitigation strategies for the impacts of natural hazards.
