Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi – The Queen’s Women is an immersive living history performance that reenacts the 1897 gathering of the Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Nā Wahine in Hilo as they collected signatures for the Kūʻē Petitions opposing the annexation of Hawaiʻi. Through audience participation and powerful storytelling, participants are invited to step into history and experience the courage and leadership of Hawaiian women. Free event. Hawaiian History Month
