Trimillos Ph.D., Emeritus Professor, 糖心视频M Ethnomusicology Speakers: Dr. Yuan-Hsin Tung Ph.D., 糖心视频M Ethnomusicology 鈥淲ayang potehi and its struggles in the multicultural society of Indonesia鈥� Dr. Ben Fairfield Ph.D., 糖心视频M Ethnomusicology 鈥淭hai Traditional music instruments and its influence on music pedagogy in Hawaii鈥� This panel focuses on the rich diversity of music and theatrical traditions in Southeast Asia and Southeast Asia in western pedagogy. Traditional arts, such as puppetry and music, are diverse and linked to cultural identity in Southeast Asia and have adapted through migration. Scholars on this panel will discuss the current status of the tradition they research and trends of the theatrical and musical forms in Southeast Asia and beyond.
