The Diabetes Research Center invites you to a day of scientific exchange and discovery at the 2026 Diabetes Symposium: Advances in Diabetes Research and Care. Bringing together researchers, clinicians, students, and academic and institutional partners, this annual symposium will showcase current research and emerging perspectives across diabetes, metabolism, and clinical care. Featured plenary speaker Amisha Wallia, MD, MS Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Symposium Speakers Mariana Gerschenson, PhD Marjorie Mau, MD Gertraud Maskarinec, PhD John Shepherd, PhD Lauren Staiger, MD Lucia Seale, PhD Noemi Polgar, PhD The program will span a broad spectrum of diabetes research鈥攆rom the impact of diabetes in Hawai鈥榠 and gestational diabetes to body composition, metabolism, and experimental disease models.
