Cross-Cultural Health Care Research Updates
February 26, 7:45am - 5:00pmAla Moana Hotel, Garden Lanai Room
The University of Hawaii at Manoa鈥檚 Department of Surgery is presenting the Cross-Cultural Health Care Research Updates Conference on February 26, 2027, at the Ala Moana Hotel. The role of culture/diversity in both physician workforce development and patient care have garnered much attention in recent years, but more empirical evidence is needed. Therefore, it is critical for physicians and others involved in healthcare to be familiar with existing research topics so that they can help to identify potential barriers and help develop solutions to: 1) advising/mentoring the future physician workforce; and 2) providing culturally appropriate care for all of their patients.
