Dr. Violet Harada has been awarded the 2026 College of Social Sciences Award for Distinguished Retired Faculty. The honor recognizes retired faculty members who maintain an active, outstanding record of scholarship, leadership, and professional expertise in their field.
In the award announcement, Dean Denise Konan praised Dr. Harada for her ongoing contributions to the Library and Information Science (LIS) Program, highlighting her continued teaching, collaborative course development, interdisciplinary research, and success in securing external funding.
