ORE Seminar: Sea Level Rise 101

Sea level rise (SLR) is one of the most certain and consequential impacts of a warming planet, with profound implications for Hawaiʻi and coastal communities worldwide. This talk provides an accessible overview of why sea level is rising, how quickly it is changing, and what scientists expect in the decades and centuries ahead. We will explore the causes of SLR, and the local processes that shape the rising water experienced along our shores.
